New York, November 28, 2012 – TVB, the not-for-profit trade association of America’s commercial broadcast television industry, today issued the following statement from Steve Lanzano, President and CEO of the TVB:
“Yesterday, eMarketer issued a report that showed that people are spending more time with television now than any time in the past four years. According to their research, the average adult spends almost 4 ½ hours with television each day, representing nearly 40% of all their media consumption. Additionally, television is the only traditional medium whose usage continues to grow. This is further confirmation that television remains the core of people’s media lives. Despite talk of growing audience and device fragmentation, there is still only one medium that continually delivers mass reach – television.”
