Marketers Still Spending Wildly on Social but Only 11.9% Can Prove ROI

A recent CMO survey from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke, the AMA, and Deloitte found social media accounts for10.9% of marketing budgets and is expected to increase to 20.9% in five years. Despite these projected increases, the same study revealed that only 11.5% of marketers can prove positive ROI on their social efforts.

Social Network User Projections

The gap between Tumblr and its competitors is projected to widen through 2020. A major factor is that Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are all more successful at catering to mobile audiences than Tumblr.
