TV Basics: Multi-Set & VCR Households
TV households with two or more sets accounted for only 1% of the total in 1950. It grew to 50.1% by 1980, and now accounts for 82.1%. VCR penetration grew from 1.1% in 1980 to 68.6% within 10 years. Penetration began to drop off after peaking at 91.5% in 2003.
