TV Interface Practices (TIP) Initiative

A consortium of local television broadcasters including Nexstar Media Group, Sinclair Broadcast Group, TEGNA, Gray Television, Tribune Media, Hearst Television and the NBC & Telemundo Owned Stations lead the TV Interface Practices (TIP) Initiative. TIP is an industry work group dedicated to promoting open interfaces to streamline advertising transactions for local TV broadcasters and their media agency partners.

  • Accelerate automation of national spot transactions to streamline transactions and reduce the reconciliation burdens on buyer and seller
  • Foster interoperability between system providers to create the broadest access to local television supply and demand
  • Enable transaction innovations such as a more streamlined workflow and new transaction models like Private Marketplace deals.

TVB, the trade association representing local broadcast television, provides a repository for the TIP Initiative’s work and open access for industry partners.
