Senate Elections | Gubernatorial Elections
The 2021 United States elections will be held, in large part, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. This off-year election includes the regular gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia. In addition, state legislative elections will be held in New Jersey and the Virginia House of Delegates (the lower house of the Virginia General Assembly), along with numerous citizen initiatives, mayoral races, and a variety of other local elections. Special elections to the United States House of Representatives will take place in early 2021 as a result of either deaths or vacancies.
The 2022 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. During this mid-term election year, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested. This will be the first election affected by the redistricting that will follow the 2020 United States Census.
